Being Wiccan

January 16, 2023

All my life I’ve felt a special connection to the Sun and Moon.

When I was very young, about five years old, I can remember talking to a ghost in our house and getting in BIG trouble for it. I got “the big black belt.” That was the punishment at our house. If Daddy got out that belt boy oh, boy were you in trouble! Pulling down my panties and hitting me with that belt over and over was the ultimate punishment.  I remember asking my Dad once how it felt to hit a little tiny girl with no defense that hard with such force and he literally had no recollection of doing that at all. Or he was one heck of a liar and didn’t want to admit to such a thing! I know my brother and I discussed it plenty of times and WE remember it just fine. It was horrible, painful and humiliating. Somehow society came to believe it was all right to hit children into submission.

The point being, why did people think it was ever okay to hit a small child? Why did society think it was okay? Why do people ever think it is okay to hurt another because they tell the truth? To burn people alive or drown them for a belief? For that heinous behavior, I have an answer, fear. Obviously people at the time believed witchcraft was powerful or they wouldn’t have been so quick to punish witches and burn them alive, often at the stake. They tried beating “it” out of them and when that didn’t work they burned them to death.

Some of the worst crimes in history are committed out of fear. People so afraid of the unknown, the different, the strange, by their standards, or unusual that they would rather kill the people with differing ideas, than have a conversation with them. It is still happening today. Turn on any political television program and listen to the debaters. They are all about making the other person believe their side of the story or else. There is no room for decent conversation. It is my way or the highway.

I will always believe, Love is love. You cannot have it both ways.

The main tenet of Witchcraft, or Wiccan rede, is,

“An’ it harm none, Do what thou wilt.” Do what you will…..but do not do anything that will harm another. It’s as simple as that.

Love Comes in All Sizes

Carrie, my dear sweet friend. You have been in my prayers since the day that you posted this. And now, on the National Day of Prayer I can’t let the day go by without letting you know. It just hurts my heart so much that you are talking about witchcraft and the wiccan world. It wasn’t too long ago that you were studying the Bible and professed to be a Christian and wanted to be a leader for women. What happened? Do you know that Satan is the father of lies? He has come to kill, steal and destroy. John 10:10 Don’t let him take your soul. As we have all watched this world deteriorate around us, it won’t be long until Jesus come for His Bride, the church. Be prepared and accept Him as your only savior. I am only a phone call away and a short drive if you would like to meet. Please let Jesus be your guide in your search for THE Truth. Love you and praying for you, Suzanne.

PS – I watched this interview with this young woman’s change and it is very inspirational.

Hello Suzanne, Sorry it took me so long to respond. I am still learning this “blog thing”. I am Christian, I am also Wiccan. Please take just a few inutes and read what it mean to be Wiccan. Wiccan is a pagan religion of old. We worship the earth, air, water and fire. We worship the animals, and all of God’s creatures including people. Being Wiccan has absolutely noting whatsoever to do with Satan. Satan is a made up creature to control the masses from the 13th and 14th century. Please never worry for me. I am baptized but do not follow any one particular faith rather I choose to spend time in nature, on the beach or in the forest where I can commune with nature and God all at once. There is no evil side in the Wiccan tradition. Our rede in simple terms is “Do what ye will, but harm none”. Wiccan/Pagan follows my heart more than a traditional church setting and if you do some research I am sure you will agree for me it fits me rather well. We each have to find our own way Suzanne. God has a plan for us all and for me this is my path. I love you my dear friend. Fear not for there is no evil in my world.
