Trusting God’s Timing

May 25, 2023

Have you ever asked and asked for help from God, thinking will He ever hear me, will I receive an answer, is God really there, is HE really there for ME?  Does HE care for me and my situation?

God’s timing is not something we always understand. It is often said that once we leave the earthly realm time becomes irrelevant.

Next time you need an answer to God’s great puzzle of life, perhaps these cornerstones of truth will help you when it comes to God’s infinite wisdom.

Cornerstone #1

God is all-loving

While dealing with what seems to be utter silence, remember the first cornerstone of your life’s puzzle is God’s love. God takes no delight in watching you go through your day lonely or fearful, looking over your shoulder and waiting for the heavenly hammer to fall. No of course not!  God is a FATHER!!  Do you know any father who takes pleasure in His child’s sorrow or sickness? He is your father and won’t withhold anything good from you. He loves you as much as Jesus. “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him, also freely give us all things”? (Romans 8:32).

“Heavenly Father, I freely receive your gifts of love right now!”

Cornerstone #2

God is all-knowing

I have always felt that God’s omniscience confuses our finite mind. Psalm 139: 2-4 reveals the compassionate truth that God knows us all. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You, understand my thought from far off. You search my path and my laying down and are aware of all my ways for there is not a word on my tongue but beyond, O Lord, you know it fully.

God knows absolutely every little detail about me (Ps 139).

God knows you and still, He chose you. He knows the good and bad choices of your past. He knows all of the parts of your life, fair – and unfair, just and unjust, and the marvelous possibilities for your future! Our Lord sees every single moment of potential for your future.

Cornerstone #3

God is all-powerful

There is a trap many fall into.  We blame the devil for the waiting.  When we pray to the Lord and our patience runs thin…. we blame the devil for the lack of response. We blame the devil that our dreams not having materialized.
